Camp training and activities have been designed for kids and youth between the ages of 8 and 16 years old. All levels of aikido experience are welcomed. The camps begins in Vancouver, the largest city in the province of British Columbia and the third largest city in Canada. It's surrounded by water on three sides and is nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range. It's home to spectacular natural scenery and a bustling metropolitan core.

Mid-week we move into the interior of the province to Nelson. This city of just 10,000 people is surrounded by the rugged Selkirk Mountains and sits on the shores of the West Arm of Kootenay Lake, one of the largest lakes in the province. With over 350 heritage buildings, stunning geography, and a thriving arts community, Nelson has a storybook charm combined with cosmopolitan sophistication.

Our final day takes us one hour north of Nelson to train in a post and beam straw-bale dojo. The facility is nestled on forty acres of gently sloping land of young forests and extensive wild flower meadow. There is full sun exposure and 360 degrees of breathtaking mountain vistas. | |
